The Five Corners Parkette

Situated at King Street West and William Street, this small piece of Town property was developed as a park for the Society's Millennium Project. The landscape design was by Miriam Mutton, the arbour built by member Keith Discipline, the sign carved by Arnold Cornelius and the labour and planting done by members. It was funded by income from the club’s charity bingo participation. The objective was to create a gateway to the downtown that would be attractive in all seasons. On June 12, 2000 the Town Council approved the plans and on June 2, 2001 the Mayor attended the official opening.

On the 17th of November 2009 Mayor Peter Delanty unveiled two beautiful
Carl Hoselton sculptures 'Virgin' and 'Virgin and Child' installed in
the garden thanks to the generous donation of Murray and Margaret Dillon
and placed in locations chosen by Councillor Miriam Mutton.

The Rose Garden

The Rose Garden is more formally known as the Edwin R. Haynes Memorial Rose Garden and is located in Victoria Park, at the corner of King Street East and Church Street. It boast over 100 rose bushes of several different varieties, mostly white flowering, and two large pergolas with climbing varieties.

Both gardens are maintained by volunteers. If you would like to help please call Toni Thompson at 905-377-8571.
